Job Overview

Bconnecten is seeking experienced Fiber Installation Technicians (1099 Independent Contractors) to support fiber optic deployment across multiple markets. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining telecommunications systems with a focus on fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) services.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic telecommunications equipment
• Perform FTTH installations, drop work, and service calls
• Ensure all work meets industry safety standards and company guidelines
• Coordinate with dispatch and field teams to complete assignments efficiently
• Maintain a professional image while representing Bconnecten in the field
• Accurately document work orders and updates using mobile/computer systems
• Work in various environments, including outdoors, heights, and changing weather conditions

Requirements

• Proven experience in Fiber I&R, CATV, Coax, or Telecommunications
• Must have own truck/van/SUV equipped with ladder rack and 28 ft. ladder
• Required tools: light meter, visual fault locator, and Android device
• Valid Driver’s License, vehicle registration, and active auto insurance
• Certificate of Liability Insurance (Auto, General, Umbrella, Workers Comp)
• Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding conditions
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer and mobile app proficiency
• Flexible schedule to meet project demands

Compensation

• $1,600 – $2,500 per week (based on production and experience)
• Weekly direct deposit (Net 17)
• No material costs or chargebacks

Additional Information

• This is a 1099 independent contractor position
• Work is project-based and may require travel depending on assignments
• Candidates must pass background check, drug screening, and MVR review
